Parish Council
The Parish Council at St. George Greek Orthodox Church serves as the elected body of lay leaders who work alongside the Parish Priest to guide the spiritual, administrative, and community life of the parish. The Parish Council plays an essential role in ensuring that the mission and traditions of the Orthodox Church continue to thrive for current and future generations.
Members of the Parish Council are active stewards of the church, offering their time, leadership, and dedication to support the parish. To serve, individuals must be in good standing with the church for at least one year and are elected to a two-year term. Their service reflects a strong commitment to faith, responsibility, and community involvement.
The Parish Council is responsible for supporting the ministry of the Parish Priest while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of the church. In addition, the Parish Council helps plan future initiatives, strengthen parish programs, and encourage greater participation among members of the community.
Through collaboration and leadership, the Parish Council helps bring the parish together, ensuring that church life remains active, welcoming, and spiritually enriching.
